Say Goodbye To Love (again)

Ok, I'm in a rush to get to my 4 hour accounting class right now (that I have a midterm for in a week) but I wanted to post this really quick. And guess what reader?

I'M HAVING THE WORST DAY EVER!

Quickly: Think back to when I posted about Kenna a while ago. The post was actually called "Say Goodbye To Love"... hence the title of this one. Anyway, I saw this on WMF and thought it was pretty sick. Check your boy Pharrell on the drums and Chad on the keyboard.

Music's great. My day sucks.

Pop Up Video

I used to play this video RELIGIOUSLY. The skit at the beginning of the song on the CD is probably one the best skits on an album ever. True hip-hop heads will know exactly what I'm talking about when you read it...

Guy: Whose d**k you sucking?
Girl: Don't call me with that bulls**t, alright?
Guy: You lying, you lying to me, Di.
Girl: Yeah exactly.
Guy: Whose d**k you sucking? C'mon Di, I just heard some s**t about you, some foul s**t. The f**k is the deal?
Girl: Suck my f**king d**k you b**cha** nigga! I don't
Guy: No you explain it to me b**ch. You know what I'm talking about.
Girl: I don't know nobody up here! I don't f**k with nobody up here and I ain't been f**king with nobody up here! I don't know nobody in f**king Yonkers!
Guy: Lying ass b**ch. You ain't shit. Do I got to holla his name too?
Girl: Who the f**k is he!?
Guy: Bitch you f**kin him!

Do It Now!!!

I just went to my big brother Don's myspace just for s**ts and giggles and I listened to some of his beats that I haven't in a minute. Go to his page right now and listen to his stuff. The young man is talented. No bull. I'm not just saying that because that's my right hand. I mean it... Why are you still reading my wack a** blog?! Do it now!!!

I Keep 'Em Clean Though

I can't emphasize enough how important this article is. If you're a shoe fiend like myself, you need this in your life.

*I'm still a little skeptical about throwing my infrareds in the washing machine, though. I'm just not mentally ready to do it.

You're a Nice Guy

Whitney added a post about Commonwealth just for me and it's honestly the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me (on the internet... I think). Go to her page and watch the video. If you've ever been there with me then you understand why I'm so appreciative. Thanks again, Miss.

Why Am I Sweating?

Hello readers. If any of you who are currently in North Philadelphia heard someone scream "HOLY S**T!!!" around 6PM tonight... that was me. My bad. But here's the reason why...

"I get brain everyday: I'm a know-it-all..."

Wale released an 8 second clip for the new "W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E." video. If you remember maybe a month or so back I posted the Jusitice "D.A.N.C.E." video and the Wale's looks pretty similar. It would make my like if he's walking through DC, which it kind of looks like he is.

Stay tuned...

Happy Ending

Call me immature if you want, but this s**t is HILARIOUS!!!

"It's kinda fresh you listen to more than hip-hop..."

Remember where you heard it first.

I blessed you with the original AND Wale's version, too. You're welcome.

*Rest in Peace J-Dilla

Rihanna and the Klaxons

So it turns out that Rihanna and the Klaxons performed together at this years BRIT Awards. I guess no one was going to tell me. Thanks guys. Anyway, they performed Rihanna's song "Umbrella" with noticable parts from the Klaxons "Golden Skans" in there. For those of you who are up on you British rock music, "Golden Skans" is the business. Ask Donovan.

Rihanna isn't the best singer in the world but she definitely gets cool points for performing with these guys. It looks like it was pretty sick.

Back in the beginning of the first semester, Don showed me this video and I remember thinking it was so wierd yet kinda tight at the same time. I don't know, you tell me.

*Actually, nevermind. I just watched the video again and i still don't know what the hell they were tripping on. Something strong, I'm sure. I still love the song tho.

Faces In The Hall

Calvin changed the URL for his blog. Click the picture below to get to his page.

Also, he has like 5 or 6 tickets for the Jay-Z/Mary J. Blige concert at the Wachovia Center. Hit him up if you're interested (and cakin like that).

"I like zip-t, candles and Maharishi sandals..."

Did I mention my evil (yet far more famous) twin likes Commonwealth, too? Here's a pic of him at the Norfolk location. Shout out to those Virginia girls (ewwwwwwww).

There's No Place Like Home *clickclickclick*

So like I said earlier, this past Saturday it was vital that I got the hell out of Philly as quickly as possible. Though, I seriously contemplated staying there, Miss Destiny called me and reminded me that that would be a dumb f'ing thing to do (as I rode through her neighborhood, ironically).

I went with Calvin and VJ and it was such a relief to get away. Clean sidewalks, fresh air, grass... North Philly doesn't offer these things. Anyway, of course I had to stop at Commonwealth and to my surprise, it was the Grand Opening for the Stussy DC store. P'YAAAHHHHH(Chappelle voice)!!! And oh yeah, as I'm sitting outside the Stussy store, who walks by me but the embassador of rap himself, Mr. Wale. My timing was impeccable.

Had to stop at Jumbo Slice. So many memories...

*Thanks Whitney, for your post on my LOVE for Commonwealth. You know me better than I thought you did.

Probably Know Him From the Rap...

Who's local? Get familiar...

"Oh you mad cuz I'm stylin' on you?"

First and foremost, let me make sure you all understand that I have never used that phrase in a serious manner. I used it as this post title strictly to make fun of the people that that do use this phrase, and think that it's acceptable. Moving on.

This was probably one of the wierdest weekends EVER. There was a lot of mixed emotions and spur of the moment decisions that left me feeling really confused and off balance when I woke up Sunday morning (1:34 PM). However, some good things happened and they shouldn't be overlooked: I chilled with Ms. Hazel after who knows how many weekends of us trying to link up but it not happening; went to Philalive which was so chill, as usual; and took a spontaneous "gotta-get-outta-philly, lets-go-to-DC-for-the-day" roadtrip.

Most importantly though, it seems like everyone was up on their shoe game and decided to cop up this weekend. Let's look at some of this weekend's best buys.

VJ balled out and grabbed these Bodega x Puma Sky Hi II “Spy vs. Spy”. Look at how much detail there is. It's ridiculous.

Calvin got these Nike SB Trainer II's from Palace 5ive. Proud moment.

For some reason, Whitney thought it would be a good idea to wake up dumb early in the morning to drive all the way to King of Prussia to buy these monstrosities (she's really excited about them though so if you see her with them on, tell her how nice they look, even though you'd be lying).

And last but not least your's truly got the very shoe that he wrote a post about two months ago: MY STRUCTURES!

*Chris usually doesn't talk about himself in third person on his blog (or ever, for that matter) but he thought he'd give it a try. He doesn't like it. YA DIG!!!!

I See You Cassie

I remember the first time I saw Cassie's first video (for that song about giving dome) I thought "She has no talent but at least she looks good".... major understatement on my part. I can't lie, I took these pictures directly from WayMoreFresher. Shorty's bad though. Don't you agree?

M.I.A for Me

Here are some shots from Marc Jacob's new "M.I.A for Marc". And as usual, she's looking good enough to wife.

Speaking of wives, I think Carmelo Anthony should be voted man of the year...

In There...

You already know I'm gonna be in there looking mighty similar to the Tower of Pisa... ya dig!
Shout out to the Konnoisseurs.

Are You Serious?

I just layed down in the bed and as soon as I turn my light off, I start hearing gunshots. Three, to be exact. Who's up shooting at this this hour? You honestly mean to tell me your beef couldn't have waited until the sun came out? Don't you think you'd be a more effective shooter if you got some sleep? People need to get their lives together. I pray that no one was hurt by this f**kery.
Goodnight.

"Man, killin's some wack s**t.
Oh, I forgot... except for when n**ga's is rappin',
Do you know what it feel like when people is passin'? "

Pop Up Video

Okay, really quick. This pop up video is dedicated to my girlies. It was fun singing with you Friday night. Hope you have a great week. Actually, scratch that... Have a great LIFE!

Canon!

So Maddie showed me how to use this dope feature on my new camera and I'm kind of obsessed. I have a deeply rooted passion for photography and... that sentence didn't really have an end. My bad. Here are some of my most recent shots. Click on the pictures to view them bigger. Trust me, its worth it.

*In a previous post I asked whomever visited my blog and the hit counter read "1111" to leave a comment on the post. Well it seems I accidentally made myself that person. Whoops!
**It's now 4 in the morning so I'm gonna push all my unfolded clean laundry to the left side of my bed and fall asleep listening to John Mayer: Whitney style.
