Flashing Lights Update

The latest Flashing Lights video to be released, which was actually the first to be filmed...

Kanye explains the reason behind three videos for the track...

I shot 3 vids for flashing lights cuz I ain’t like the first 2. I loved the 3rd one that I released with Spike and hit the world with that. I actually had Sam Speigal , Spike’s brother and co-orchestrater of THE TOUR MUSIC, do a remix 2 the scary one 2 make the music fit. I planned 2 put it on a DVD later this year. No rant’s here just an explanation of why yall getting those other vids rt now that I ain’t approve and why I ain’t finna post neither on my blog. So I hope whoever leaked them got the shine they was looking 4 cause that’s all they’ll get now. And I know that’s incorrect english but that’s how I talk when I want 2. Oh and I’ve just been 2 busy 2 get at the New York Times for all that his Ego BLAH BLAH BLAH bullshit so stay tuned. For fun, I want yall 2 read this whole post in the Grandma’s Boy JP robot voice LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do ya know, Do ya know, Do ya know?!

Super film director Spike Lee announced at this year's Cannes Film Festival in France that he was putting together the finishing touches on a documentary on Michael Jordan and his career, and how he's impacted basketball. What makes this Jordan documentary different from others is that more focus will be put on the shoes. Hell yeah. The doc is set to premiere at the Festival in 2009.
Here's a psuedo trailer of the film.

The Countdown Continues...

Music has decided to bless this summer and I'm so happy it did.

But of course!

Tuesday's man.....

1.) People are hilarious. Period. To eliminate any questions as to what I'm talking about, if this pertains to you, then I'm talking about you. Choices, people. Life is all about choices.

2.) Found this in my basement over the weekend and almost shat myself. Its video tape which means the quality's gonna be crap. I'm actually happy about that. Watching it right after work.

Crack.

new ink.

Got a new tattoo on Saturday.
Tell me what you think.
Rhonda is my Mom Dukes/best friend's name, by the way.

Hey, am I the only one who didn't know that John Mayer was tatted all crazy?
Not that it matters. I just love son's music and he doesn't seem like the type.
I dig, though.

Yeeeeaaaaahhhhh...

I just got back from Maryland/DC for the second weekend in a row. I'm working a new job and living in the new apartment up in Phil-thy for a couple weeks before I go back the "the area" to work for basically the rest of the summer. Anyway, it appears that my roommate and right-hand-man Calvin decided he was tired of watching the same DVDs repeatedly so he got cable installed. All I have to say to that is "F**kin' right!" I've been wathing VH1 Soul and HBO since I got back. However, while watching videos, something was brought to my attention that was pretty astonishing, and actually a little embarrassing that I had never noticed it before.

Tell me what see between seconds .22 and .31
It shows up twice.

Happy Memorial Day!

"...That's! What Maryland! Does!"

Sunday, May 25, 2008

I dig.

So now there's two different videos for my favorite song off the Graduation album and they're both dope. Not to mention Colin Munroe's version is pretty tight too. I can't pick a favorite.
Can you?

The Apprentice
(no a** in this one but hey... can't win 'em all)

LMAO!!!

People do some pretty stupid things just to entertain others, especially the guys from Jackass. Most of you have probably seen the questionable video of Kobe Bryant jumping over the Aston Martin by now. Well this is the latest video he's done and its pretty hilarious, even though it's obviously fake. I actually think that's what makes it so funny.

It reminded me of one of my favorite Chappelle Show skits.
Easily top 5.

Those who've played me in Connect Four before, have been beaten by me in Connect Four before. Some of you more than others.
Imagine the dreams I could shatter with a Connect Four this big.
Where would I put it, though?...

And it's like that.

Are you watching the playoffs right now?
If not then you should be.

7-11 run?

I might have to get this tonight... If I remember...
Maybe I'll just get it in the morning.
I love being home. You don't understand.

Paradise Found

I'm currently in the best place in the world. I call it home.
This video feels so appropriate right now.

Unfortunately, I'll be back in Philly sooner rather than later.
Got a voicemail today about a job training I have to go to on Monday for a job I never applied for.
Can you say "In there."?

Last Day of Finals, B!!!

I'm dumbin' the f**k out tonight!
Feel free to join if you'd like...

A bird shat on me today

I'm not kidding. It was gross and highly upsetting.
What can one do in this situation, though? S**t happens, right?

On a lighter note...

You gotta be s**tin' me

Bluntly: There's going to be a Fraggle Rock movie.
Exciting? Of course it is. Hard to believe? For good reason.

Taken from buzzsugar.com
"Guess what? It's time to "Dance your cares away/ Worry's for another day/ Let the music play/ Down at Fraggle Rock!" The Fraggles are back! According to Variety, the Weinsteins are teaming up with Lisa Henson of the Jim Henson Company to bring a live-action, half-human half-puppet Fraggle Rock extravaganza to the big screen. Check it out:

Just like the series, the film will be populated by a mix of human characters and Fraggle Rock puppets. . .Pic will take the core characters Gogo, Wembley, Mokey, Boober and Red outside of their home in Fraggle Rock, where they interact with humans, which they think are aliens. The show premiered on HBO in 1983, ran five seasons and was broadcast in more than 80 countries. It posted strong sales recently when the first three seasons were released on DVD.

Awww! I'm excited about this news for so many reasons, but first and foremost: Hooray for no CGI! It'll be so great to get some good old-fashioned puppets, just like we'll get with Jason Segel's Muppet project. Plus, I can't wait to see some Fraggle musical production numbers choreographed for the big screen — and hopefully accompanied by Gobo on his gourd guitar.
Want to take a sweet little trip down Memory Lane? After the jump, relive the adorableness that is the opening sequence to Fraggle Rock. You can enjoy when you read more.
"

And of course...

I'll Be Late For That...

I've been meaning to post this for the longest time. As you know, I'm a Connect Four fanatic (read Connect Four Crack). I love it. After repeated a** whoopings, a guess asked me the other day if I had any other games. I respond "What other games are there?" Well Kanye is a Connect Four guru as well and it's exciting to see that other people love the game too... and it makes me feel a lot less like a 7-year-old.

Kanye v. Jonah Hill in Connect Four

I couldn't sleep last night...

My sudden case of insomnia doesn't have to do with anything.
I just thought you'd want to know.

In other news, N*E*R*D performed "Everyone Nose" on Letterman last night. It sounded a little sloppy to me at first but the breakdown sounds phenomenal live. Glow In The Dark Tour comes to Philly on Saturday. Don and Aden are two lucky bastards.

"Superman"

I watched Kill Bill 2 for the first time the other day and was pretty blown away. I forgot how intense the Kill Bill movies are. This one scene had me thinking pretty hard... and Quentin Tarantino is a genius.

New Justice video

Jusitce went crazy on this one. It's wierd because I'm pretty sure we've all had the urge to do a**hole s**t at one point or another. Freud would call this urge an effect of our minds "id", which exists only by the "pleasure priciple." These little French Bay Bay's kids need Montell Williams or ritalin or something... damn shame.

It is what it is...

Very few people know that I'm actually a protégé. Of course Don and Jero (and a ruthless gang of problem solvers I call friends) are always there for moral support, but it's a fact that KTH would be somewhat dry if it wasn't for one person. Even though s**t has a tendency to get kind of funky between us, I know if I ever need help with something blog related, I can go to my Sensei. It's important to have people like that around. It's even more important to acknowledge their influence and make sure that they know that they're appreciated. I would say your name but I don't want to give out my connects.
Thank you, though.

I heard Santogold's self title ablum in the car with one of my boys two weeks ago on our way back from the worst class ever. I think I fell in love that night. The album is amazing and I think that everyone should have it. If you're narrowed minded... well I guess I'm surprised you read KTH, first of all... but you're going to have to open your mind for this one. But I trust that you're all intelligent individuals so enjoy this eargasm. Thanks again, Sensei.
If anyone actually downloads this or already has it, let me know what you think. I'm interested in what you have to say about this one.

This album actually has sentimental value to me so it's a pretty big deal that I'm sharing it with you... again. I just want you all to be affected by it the way I was. (click image to download)

Wale Update

When Dizzy was in Philly he informed me that the new Wale mixtape was coming out at the end of may. Its been confirmed and as you can see it will be available May 30th and only on elitaste.com.
This is kind of a big deal.

Also...

New LRG ad featuring Wale in June issue of Vibe.
Possibly an even bigger deal.

This is when I stopped playing video games

If you're like me and there's something really important that you sould be doing right now, DON'T WATCH THIS. But if you have some free time, knock yourself out.
It's hilarious.

I'm lovin it!

This song has been stuck in my head. I'm slow though so I didn't know there was a video for it. A friend of mine tried to put me on to Santogold last summer and I was kind of feeling it... but not really. You know what I mean? It's hard to explain. Regardless, I'm on her nuts now. Rumor has it she's doing a concert in Philly soon. For those of you who are interested, I'll keep you posted.

Threesome maybe? hahahahahahaha....

"I'm right here. And I aint goin nowhere."

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's anxiously waiting for the new N*E*R*D album to drop in June. It's called Seeing Sounds and by now you've probably heard the first single off the album "Everyone Nose". Anyway, due to finals, ten page term papers on the effects of music on the human brain in comparison to Freud's psychoanalysis, and moving into a new apartment, I've been a little detached from this wonderful universe I call the internet. In the next couple of days I'll be trying to ease my way back into it, hoping that KTH's faithful readers will forgive me for my absence.
I've been waiting for this song to come out on the internet for a while and of course it would show its proverbial face while I'm away. For those of you who haven't heard it yet, Enjoy.
N*E*R*D - Spaz (zshare)

New album got love from Zune, as well.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT BOY?!

Finals. That's what happened to that boy. Don't worry, though. I'll be back soon. Life without KTH is wierd for me.

Now you know me and the type of music I'm into, or at least the type of s**t I post on KTH. I typically don't like songs like this but I can't lie... this s**t gooooeeeesssss. The beat is what hooked me. Right now, DJ Khaled is really tryna take Flavor Flav's "Coon of the Year" award. Just pretend he's not yelling at the top of his lungs in the song. Dig me?

Pop Up Video

You know what time it is...
By the way, if you're ever walking through Philly late at night and someone approaches you and says this, he's what we call a "stick-up kid", and you should probably give up your valuables as quick as possible.

I was having a conversation with a lady friend about our favorite Michael Jackson songs and this was on the top of my list.
