Everyone Nose

All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom!
Haha.

To say that baby girl looks high in this picture is an understatement. She looks like she just got back from spending two hours on Lil' Wayne's tour bus. I don't even think she realized a picture was being taken. I think she just happened to be doing that at the time. Wale doesn't really seem to care. Just DC swaggin' on 'em as usual.

Sorry Mark, I don't wanna offend your sister's good friend,
but when my pen gets in, it pretends in itself it's an entity,
and it interferes and gets the best of me.

Connect Four CRACK!

I'm not sure if you know this about me but I take Connect Four VERY seriously. Probably too seriously. Well one of my so called best friends, Donovan, sent something quite disturbing to me the other day, and I feel compelled to write about it. Turns out there's a website where you can play Connect Four against the computer. It's awful. The computer is so damn good. Winning is a task. And the worst part is its terribly addictive. Its like I can't stop. I played 7 times before writing this post AFTER I told myself not to.
Anyway, enjoy.
It's nice to see that celebities enjoy playing this enticing game too, though.

Where you at? Because "Where are you?" doesn't sound cool enough.

So I'm sure that you've all seen the latest Boost Mobile commercial with these three bammas in it by now. What a waste of air time. Young Jeezy's elementary school rhyme skills always tickle me. Don't ask what made me think of this because I really don't know. But that's usually how my posts go. I see or think about something that interests me for however long or short a period, then I write about it. Anyway, this commercial is straight trash and it reminded me of back when Boost Mobile ads actually made you consider getting a prepaid plan. Little known fact: the wierdo at the right either used to be or is about to be a woman. I swear.

This commercial, on the other hand... this s**t was dope. Watch it then listen to the whole song. They all killed it. And the beat was crazy, too. I actually have it on my iPod (which you'll be happy to know is feeling much better now that it got some juice. that walk home was brutal).

Uh oh...

Damn son... My iPod battery just died... How the hell am I supposed to get home now? Walk without music? I mean.... I don't know. Like, WOW! This has never happened before....

LRG x Casio G-Shock

Collaborations are great. Especially when they work.

I Need Love

This mixtape is CRACK! I'm not even sicin' it. This mixtape serves its purpose 100%. It was made to be played in the dopest boutique in the US, (come on, say it with me...) Commonwealth, so that customers had some fly s**t to listen to while they browsed reasonably priced apparel and kicks. I'm in a crowded computer lab writing yet another speech right now, and as soon as I started playing this mixtape, an undeniable calm punched me in the chest. Well maybe not a punch... more like a love tap to the heart.

Stussy DC Tees

I saw these like a week ago and didn't think much of them. I actually didn't think much of 'em when i decided to post 'em... I just don't have s**t to write about today. YA DIG? Haha. Anyway, now that I take a closer look, they're kinda sick. I might cop both.

College would be the s**t if it weren't for classes.
I'm sorry. That has nothing to do with these t-shirts. I'm just venting. Dont worry, though. This isn't one of my usual "everything's going wrong/what do I do?" posts. Life is actually really good right now. This workload is just ridiculous...

I should have seen this coming...

New Music

Wyclef ft. Lupe Fiasco - Fast Car Remix

Indeed.

There's a couple of phrases and words that I use all the time. The people I spend a lot of time with know that. For some reason though, "dope" (or in its entirety: "dope as s**t") has grown on me in 2008. And because I haven't been saying it for long, every time it comes out I think to myself "I just said dope again. WTF?"

Anyway, I was just on Kanye's blog and he used that one simple, drug related word to describe this pixelated furniture.
What more can you say?

Nike SB Summer 2008 Releases

Nike has already dubbed 2008 the "Year of the Dunks" and it looks like SB is trying to add its two cents as well. Here are some preview shots of stuff we can expect to see from SB this summer.
And they're all vicious!

Ohhhhh yeeeaaahhhh

I just remembered that today's April Fool's Day. I'm just writing this to let everyone know that if anyone tries to play a prank on me, I'll kick your a**. I'm so serious... Now that that's been established, have a good time making people (who aren't me) look stupid and trying to avoid the jack yourself.

*Mr. T says....

If only it weren't so true...

Mom Dukes and I were talking about global warming a couple weeks ago and I came to this well thought out conclusion: We're kinda f**ked. This is not good. To say the least. I wish I had some good news for you about global warning, but..... you know..... I don't.
So, yeah.... whoops!

This, on the other hand, is hilarious. Will Ferrell is the man.

"I start my day and I think about the warming of the globe... and how we can get it warmer."

I'll be late for that...

Am I late on this one? I feel like I'm late. Anyway, here's the latest from Kanye-to-the, featuring Chris Martin. The last two times I went back to DC this song was in my head. Don't really know why, though.

Kanye West ft. Chris Martin - Homecoming

*Yeah, so I just watched this video and, umm..... this s**t is mad fly! I have the utmost respect for directors and film students. Especially Doodle. If I can call you Doodle. I'm pretty sure I can't.

Makeover

Hey readers. Notice anything different? No, KTH didn't get a new haircut or lose weight. It got a much needed MAKEOVER! Thanks to the pseudo's honesty and photoshop expertise, KTH is looking kinda sexy these days. That's a biased opinion, though.

Take a look around and tell me what you think.

*Unfortunately, Cousin Chris DID NOT get a makeover.
Still bumby as usual.

And it's the funky beat.

A couple of months ago, while browsing VH1 Classics' on-demand section, I noticed a video for a song I'm quite fond of. The song was "Me and Julio down by the schoolyard" by Paul Simon. Now I, as anyone might have, expected it to be all 70s and folky.... But as soon as the video came on, who other than Big Daddy Kane and Biz Markie were standing in front of a schoolyard rhymin and beatboxin?! And then the video itself progressed, with a cast of 80s characters that'll blow your mind. Just watch for yourself. It was too dope to keep bottled up...

If you notice in BDK's verse at the intro, he mentions my boo, Spud Webb. Now if you don't know who Spud Webb is, you're missing out, because this man was a champion. A real f***ing champion! Standing at 5 ft. 7'', he was the third shortest player to ever play in the NBA and he definitely WON the slam dunk competion in 1986, beating Dominique "the human highlight reel" Wilkins... take a look:

So what should we take from all this? Basically, that the 80s has defied almost all other decades in history (with the exception of the roaring 20s) for these simple reasons:

Big Daddy Kane and Gold Ropes

Biz Markie and Spud Webb

and of course... Hi-Top Fades (with designs cut in)

to mention a few.

STAY FLY.
