This is probably the most out of the blue post you'll ever see from me but I was doing some usual internet surfing and somehow stumbled into something that I found so dope that I had to share. Was that a run-on sentence? It felt like it was. It wasn't though, right? Anyway, most music lovers will probably tell you that their feelings towards music videos vary. When you hear a song, it usually sparks a series of thoughts in your mind, causing you to see certain images. More times than not, once you've developed those specific images, you correlate them with that song from that point on. Am I right or am I full of s**t? Music videos have the potential to ruin that for you because instead of making your personal vision come to life, a gift that we're not all blessed with, you have to watch someone else's vision and interpretation of the song. Not always a bad thing but sometimes can... well... f**k it up. Perfect example: "Renee" by the Lost Boyz. This has to one of the easiest songs to make a music video for in the history of hip-hop and it was terrible. You have to see it for yourself to understand what I mean. Basically, we're put in a position where we have to trust these music video directors to do a good job.
I'm rambling.
